TECHNICAL ENGINEERING FOR BUILDING PERFORMANCE

Since its creation in 1994, Groupe ABAC Ingénierie has developed multidisciplinary expertise in building engineering across three core areas: Building Services, Fire Safety Systems and Structural Engineering.

With more than three decades of experience, the Group has developed an approach capable of supporting technically demanding projects, from initial requirements and design studies through to execution studies, technical coordination and diagnostics.

Today, ABAC brings together 60 professionals, including 29 engineers and project managers, and operates both in France and internationally.

A HISTORY BUILT AROUND THE DEVELOPMENT OF EXPERTISE

ABAC’s story began in 1994 with the creation of ABAC Ingénierie.

Over the years, the Group has progressively structured its development around quality and the expansion of its technical capabilities: the implementation of an ISO 9001 quality approach in 2000, the acquisition of ETTA-ETBA in 2008, OPQIBI certification in 2016, followed by the acquisition of Bureau d’Études BRIERE in 2021.

These milestones have enabled the Group to build a complementary range of expertise, with ABAC Ingénierie specialising in building services, ETTA-ETBA in structural engineering and Bureau d’Études BRIERE in building services. The brochure identifies ETTA-ETBA and BRIERE as wholly owned subsidiaries of ABAC Ingénierie.

COMPLEMENTARY TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

The Group’s strength lies in its ability to bring together several disciplines that are essential to the design, operation and performance of buildings.

Its teams provide expertise in electrical engineering and fire safety systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing and sanitary engineering, thermal engineering and energy efficiency, water treatment and swimming pools, external networks and infrastructure, and structural engineering.

This broad range of capabilities allows ABAC to consider a building’s technical systems and performance as a whole, while providing the specialist expertise required within each discipline.

FROM DESIGN TO DELIVERY

ABAC supports its clients throughout the different stages of their projects.

The Group’s services include building engineering design, fire safety systems coordination, thermal studies, technical coordination, as well as expertise and diagnostic services.

This ability to contribute from project definition through to execution studies gives ABAC’s teams a comprehensive understanding of the technical, economic and energy-related challenges of each operation.

RECOGNISED EXPERTISE IN HOSPITALITY AND MOUNTAIN PROJECTS

Over the years, ABAC has developed two particularly strong areas of expertise: hospitality and mountain projects.

The Group has contributed to numerous resorts, hotels and tourism residences, developing extensive experience in the French Alps and on high-end developments. The company brochure specifically identifies high-end hospitality and mountain residences as two of ABAC Ingénierie’s key specialisations.

This expertise is reflected in numerous Club Med projects in Valmorel, Val Thorens, Samoëns, Les Arcs, Alpe d’Huez, La Rosière, Val d’Isère and Tignes, as well as international projects in Mauritius, Spain, Senegal and Morocco.

The Group has also worked on a wide range of hospitality projects, from four-star hotels to Palace-level developments, in locations including Courchevel, Méribel, Chamonix, Annecy, Saint-Tropez, Lyon and the French Riviera.

LOCAL PRESENCE, INTERNATIONAL REACH

ABAC’s development is supported by a network of offices that enables its teams to remain close to their projects, clients and partners.

The brochure lists locations in Villefranche-sur-Saône, Annecy, Albertville, Mâcon, Chambéry/Barberaz and Roanne.

This strong regional presence is complemented by the Group’s ability to operate internationally. ABAC currently reports projects and operations across France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Mauritius and Senegal.

ABAC WITHIN THE ENGINEERING GROUP

Within The Engineering Group, ABAC contributes a key dimension to the collective’s multidisciplinary approach: the engineering of building systems, energy performance, fire safety and structures.

This expertise complements the Group’s other disciplines and enables technical building requirements to be considered from the earliest stages of a project.

ABAC therefore retains the depth of its specialist expertise while contributing to a broader approach in which multiple engineering disciplines can work together around a shared understanding of the project.

More than 30 years of experience. Complementary technical expertise. One shared commitment to building performance.
